This Rolex Datejust ref. 1601 originates from the year 1972 and features a champagne dial equipped with double baton indexes – a stylish and less frequently seen dial variation within the Datejust line. The case measures 36 mm and is made of stainless steel, combined with an 18k white gold fluted bezel, giving the watch its signature classic look.
The Datejust 1601 is powered by the reliable automatic Caliber 1570, one of Rolex’s most robust and accurate vintage timepieces. The date function features the distinctive cycle window under plexiglass, clearly distinguishing the Datejust.
The watch comes with a Jubilee-style strap and comes with the original Rolex box and inlay, which makes this specimen especially attractive to collectors. The overall condition of the watch is good, with light signs of use befitting its age. The movement functions correctly at the time of cataloging.
