This early Ferrari Testarossa "Monospecchio" or "Flying Mirror" was originally delivered in the USA. Originally delivered to a client in Houston, Texas in January 1986. It was seen at the Texas Motor Vehicle Department with 3.200 miles on March 3, 1991 when a title or registration was issued, probably to the second owner. In June 1995, the car was sold by Ferrari of Houston to a Loftus Carson II from Austin, Texas. A finance was given by the Chase Manhattan bank. This finance was released by May 2002. In 2018, the car was seen in California and exported to The Netherlands.
When the car arrived in Europe it was send to an official Ferrari dealership for inspection and to prepare a plan. The car was accident-free, but the leather dried out by the hot climate. A complete restoration followed by a French specialist. This restoration is completely documented by photographs and invoices. During this restoration new wheels with correct tires were fitted and the US spec side markers have been removed. When the restoration was finished, it was send to our Real Art on Wheels workshop. We prepared the car for Dutch road regsitration and delivered the car to its owner.
The car has been sparingly used and is today ready for a new custodian.
